I streamed some games with Benfica last few years to watch Taarabt in his new role as CM/DM. He is still very, very good. He was only ever very very good for one season. |

I’d love to see him in a front three with Chair and Willock but if he upsets things behind the scenes that’s not good. Has previous, lots of it. For sure. I just think if this club stands for anything it is getting a tune out of mavericks. We got almost all our best players because some other manager thought precisely that about not wanting to upset things behind the scenes. |

No brainer for me also has a sense of defence as played DF for a while.
Reputation alone will put fear of God into most defenders.
Penalties he would win,free kick ability,passing ability,vision,finishing where would you get someone like him.

The whole club would be buzzing,short sales,ticket sales and other revenue sources would increase.

May loose any pace he had but skill remains as he is gifted at this level without doubt.Charlie Austin on his return probably saved us from relegation.Ian was a good player for us doing what he did well.Ian as a manager galvanised the club and turned it around. Gerry Francis fantastic player in 70s but injuries took their toll.He returned as manager and gave us some of the best years the club has ever known.Yes he wasn't so good 2nd time but didn't really have the tools. How you can generalise like that and just dismiss Adel for me is beyond belief. I guess you know best and have your opinion,but i wholeheartedly disagree strongly. |
