The thing with natural goalscorers/finishers is the goals do not move regardless of the league you are playing in Austin being an example of that. Right age and worth a punt.

They use data to show that someone who has scored 10 goals from say 12 shots isn't going to be sustainable. A striker who scores 1 in 3 shots (or something) will go on and do well. We were sold by CW purple patch as you say. |

I think the only purple patch of Big Pat's career was shortly after he signed for us. Wasn't a prolific scorer at any other point in his career. |

Not a rumour, but I noticed that the former Liverpool keeper Bogdan is struggling to get a match in Scotland. He is only 32 years of age and maybe worth a "cheap" loan deal ? He is good at commanding a defence, good at crosses and his decision making is generally spoken highly about. Just a thought as Dieng is probably not coming back this window...

I do agree with him. Until his injury Leistner and Hall were doing OK. It's the full backs we're piss poor at, or maybe picking the wrong ones. Either way, along with a keeper that's where our focus should be. |

Bogdan was Bolton and Liverpool keeper known for throwing ball in the net. Pass on him, no point bringing in more costs which don’t resolve the problem. Think he was keeper for the famous Clint header
If we bring keeper in it should not be stop gap it should be like we done Smithies for three or more seasons. Let’s think long term

I do agree with him. Until his injury Leistner and Hall were doing OK. It's the full backs we're piss poor at, or maybe picking the wrong ones. Either way, along with a keeper that's where our focus should be. I agree, when Hall and BFG were flanked by Cam and Wallace they were better as a unit. Plus we have Barbet, who is fine apart from the pens, and I wouldn't send Masterson out on loan - I like what I've seen. This is written in the knowledge that we have FA money to spend. |
