Had a bit of stick lately and rightly so, but, I thought he was very good today and how he was denied by that save at the death. I just don’t know how the keeper has kept that one out.

Yea he was a lot better today thankfully and very unlucky with his shot their keeper saved well. Hopefully he continues at this level as he’s been a disaster of late.

Decent CB but fuck me, if you were paired with Jake Clarke Saltshaker you'd be doing the job of 2 players and run ragged all day long.
Poor excuse for a CB IMO...absolutely up there with Zesh Rehman

Thought he was brilliant today, along with cannon and smyth. How often is he good? 1 in 3? Has to be Cook and JCS next game.

JCS and Cook are the best pair we have.
When JCS replaced Dunne a few games ago, the quality was night and day. Dunne chases players and is constantly out of position. He’s a decemt back up but no more. Played well today but in the same breath, he was part of a defence that let in 2.

Dunne has lost his way a bit for me. Like a few have said above, I'd not have him starting the minute Cook is available for selection again.

Dunne played a very good match today. Nice to have options at the back! better than kakay and frank cannon on that display!

Fair play, Jimmy. I shat my pants seeing you on the team sheet. I then calmed down thinking we were playing three at the back. But then when I saw you were playing right back I pissed my pants. But you did us proud there. Great job.

Is it my imagination or is he quicker than he looks? That big stride does seem to cover the ground even though the style isn’t exactly Usain Bolt. Fair play to Marti for developing Jimmy’s game.

His all round play was excellent - love his fighting spirit and so much better on the ball and running forward than I would ever have guessed. Also a great asset defending corners - not that WBA had many.
Only caveat: yes their first goal was a wonder strike but why did Jimmy show him (or allow him) inside? Their winger only had one foot so surely you show him down the line? Jimmy's not going to face a winger that good in the Championship every week but that is possibly the drawback playing him out of position.

Yea he can shift and covers ground really quickly. Mad to see him down the right whipping balls in. He’s been fantastic in that position.

He’s first choice right back at the club right now. If you’d said that even a month ago I’d have thought you were fucking mental

Do we think this could be a permanent new rule for Jimmy or is it stop gap.
I got be honest and say I’ve been blown away by him there I do think he will have the odd howler, all FBs do, but he’s shown enough to say I can be solid.
His CB form fell away and he was rightly dropped as there were better options but his revival has been something else so well done Jimmy turned my opinion round.

The bonus with Dunne at right back is we have another header of the ball when defending corners. Him and Cook are good in that as they know the keeper does not come off his line. Huge bonus and Leicester last week he must have won 4 or 5 headers in the first half when defending a corner.
