Defo.
Struggled a bit today. Done a lot of good but equally made a fair amount of mistakes. Not all on him though.

What a strike from a great player that is a total revelation at right back.

revelation at RB. really upped his game and doesn't look out of place one bit, his mistakes have been ironed out and he is now a crucial player to the side. lacks a bit on crossing but brings so much more into the team.

As well as goal loved it second half when it was so static and he just thought “fuck it, im going to run forward with it.” Never going to win playmaker of the year but a lot of players didn’t turn up today but he showed the grit we need.
In fact amazing if you think that arguably he, JSC and in patches Cook the only three players who had good games yet we still won.

When Jimmy's smiling after a match, all things are right at QPR...
An absolute disgrace the way he was hounded during the downturn last season and this....
He along with a few others absolutely give everything to the cause imo...
I do wonder how many posters on here and other sites are wasted being plumbers, carpenters, labourers, whatever or even coaches for their sons u12 team...
They should be in the dugout helping and advising Marti...

Carrying it out from the back has always been one of his strengths.

Who knew that we already had a better RB than Cannon and Kakay all along right under our noses? Would never have found that out if not for Marti giving Jimmy a go there. He's been fantastic, consistently fantastic since moving to RB. What a strike today, fully deserved. If you look back at the celebration I love Larkeche's disbelief 🤣 Love it Jimmy, please sign a new deal.

Was at the game today, and we were shite first half and no better second until we equalised. The only player who stood out was Jimmy Dunne. He did what the midfielders should have done, swaggering attacking runs, neat, precise passing and one-twos, and solid defending. He was already my MOTM before her scored. That goal just catapulted him into Sainthood. I saw it from behind and it went like an exocet. A thing of rare beauty!

Been an absolute revelation since being repositioned.
Our best player on form and consistency in the last 7-8 games.

He deserves all the praise and adulation he’s getting. Seriously though, he is never a fullback and certainly not a wingback. Shows what a great job he is doing for the team and what a great job Marti has done with the squad.

Great charactdr and listening to him yesterday after the game it feels like he loves playing for us. Good player and the back four now is a very good unit with JD playing at right back improving it massively

The revelation about JD is that he can carry the ball forward comfortably as well as pick a pass. You say he's never a fullback, Alan, but I beg to differ. At this level, he's more than competent in that role, being both good defensively and going forward. Opponents don't know how to deal with him when he makes one of his marauding runs. His goal showed his full skill set. Do you remember a bloke called Kakay? Not long ago, he was our first choice right back.
It's amazing to think that if it wasn't for that fortuitous Cannon illness we may never have seen JD at right back. That one moment may have saved our season.

I’ve loved his performances at RB since Bristol City away but in my heart of hearts going into next season we probably need a better right back than him and Cannon. Great to know he can do a stint there if needed but if next season there are genuine aspirations to progress then RB is an area that needs improving. Having said that his resurgence has been one of the few positives this season so keep it going Jimmy.

Gotta say it looks a bit of a lucky mishit. Would you have said that if it was a Ronaldo strike? 😉

I bet it makes him a better CB and, as Westy says, good to have him up our sleeve when we need him. Maybe Marti will develop 3 at the back in which case Dunne’s experience right side will be invaluable.

I agree, although as a converted RB, not sure I'd now see this as a priority position for the summer window (we have backup RBs too). E.g. GK and striker more important

I thought he should be dropped. I thought he’d made too many mistakes. I was completely wrong. Marti and him have been fantastic.
