The marketing of the club. Another abject failure over the past 8-10 years, as discussed here. Cued up: Liked the bit where it was put to Hoos why was there no reference to the club in the local area and Hoos response was "What do I get out of it". And some wonder why the board gets the stick they do. Only true West London club yet not one reference to it anywhere by this board and club.

We should be all over Westfield with posters and Jude walking about before kick off match days.
Also I don’t know why we don’t get heads together with Chelsea and Fulham and get a store at Westfield selling all three clubs gear. Plenty of empty units there now so surely could cut a deal

Most of the local kids want to kill the next road ,to follow qpr with lads from all over area be alien to them. We'd have to sell it as you can kill youths from all over if you follow us.

Get the kids local cup finals played at our state of the art training ground and all trophies to be presented by the players. Our approach to recruitment, marketing and being prominent in the local area is lazy and half hearted from top to bottom.

Yet it’s met with complete silence. If they are not very careful this will turn ugly for them. People have had enough of watching the likes of Luton fucking town have a better squad that rangers. What are they actually doing about it? That question time with hoos will be nicey nicey as always. They will filter out the questions but the fact is cunts like Ferdinand and his ridiculous contracts for people like niko must have some accountability and it just doesn’t. We just roll over and accept it. As in the owners roll over and accept it, which begs the question, why? Ferdinand is accountable to them so why have they never made him accountable for his abysmal eight year record?Because this board as history has proven put QPR 'legends' in place to appease the fans, Holloway, Bircham, Les etc. I genuinely think that they imagine they will see uproar if they get rid of a club legend. The irony is most of the fan base would be happy to see him fucked off. He's been an abject failure. Why don't you ever EVER see him at other games watching players? He is happy ticking along picking up his kings ransom. Also people shouldn't forget when he was at the arse end of his career he was offered a deal with us and one by Reading and went to Reading. I don't think he gives a shit about QPR. He's a Yid fan anyway so not even one of us.

He said when he went reading that he never wanted to come back as a player and ruin his reputation.
Well that worked out well long term 🤣😂

I didn’t forget Reading , we were in desperate need for a striker.
Rodney Marsh was another one wheeled out for the owners benefit.

I'd just like to remind everyone that in terms of ppg Tango and Cash were far more successful than the current regime, Paul Hart notwithstanding.
The most interesting thing in the 4 year Plan was when L.Mittal tried to significantly increase his stake but Bernie wasn't playing. From then on the Mittal family interest has just declined. Maybe they don't ask twice.
I feel Bernie's refusal to sell to them has had massive reprecussions for the club.......

only 30 mins in so far. hoos is being his usual elusive self and at times i feel he's come across as very dismissive bordering on disrespectful.
i feel like the pod, to their credit, is doing a good job at asking him difficult questions, pressing for answers and critisizing him and the club too all things considered.
we all know the club is a mess and there's a very weird feeling around the club atm. i can't describe what the feeling is, its beyond the usual doom and gloom that we get after a 3-0 loss

Was so obvious at last fans meeting.

He came across a bit arrogant and dismissive at times I thought.
Only 30 mins and heard the hosts ask for a free pie promotion 4 fucking times as if that will be a gesture of good will to appease the fan base.
I don’t want a rock hard shitty pie that tastes like burnt fanny pad I just want to be able to have a piss without having to leave on 40 mins and return 5 mins into the second half.
I just want to be able to get a bit of a snack at half time without missing 20 mins of the match.
BASIC SHIT!

Can ask as many awkward questions, but it’s their club to do with how they please. And they know it Without the fans there is no club. And they know it. So I suppose it's more of a balancing act. They are more like temporary custodians of the club. The fans are the only constant and therefore its lifeblood; whilst owners come and go.

Was so obvious at last fans meeting. its because we have heard the same answers every single year. it gets to a point where questions do start being asked but hoos always seems to spin it back on us with his "what suggestions do you have? i'm all ears " shtick. its like mate, come off of it lol, you're the one running a football club and staff with hundreds of years worth of combined experience in football business and admin. why don't you come up with the ideas and improve the club, y'know, the job you're literally paid to do. plus people do make suggestions too but most of them are shot down, why not try some of the ideas? many fans have voiced concerns that there's no QPR posters up in shepherds bush and its so true. you go to any other area with a football club and there's posters and the like telling everyone that this area belongs to 'x' club. there's a certain level of perceived prestige in that. i drive by stamford bridge most days and the surrounding area is dominated by chelsea posters. everyone knows that they're in chelsea's backyard there. its beneficial to the clubs reputation to have posters in westfield and along the green telling everyone this is the home of QPR. shepherds bush is already incredibly busy with tourists and immigrants but how many of those actually know that we exist i wonder? one of the main things that worries me about the future of our club is the general age of supporters attending. most are middle aged or older. just as a side note i wonder how many people on this forum are 1st gen supporters that chose to support this club many years ago due to friends at school and living in the local area? its an interesting question imo. the point is we don't do no where near enough to bring local communities into the club. we all know that shepherds bush has loads of immigrants living there so why doesn't the club do more to bring the football unaffiliated kids of those immigrants into the club? stuff like targetting schools and offering heavily discounted tickets to kids/parents from those schools to entice them into the ground for a day out. even if only 1 in 10 of those kids end up supporting QPR thats still a massive intake of new and future fans imo. if anyone has lee hoos' email i'd love to broach the suggestion to him and see how it goes.
