Really don’t see Warburton back with us, he’s got bigger fish to fry. Has he though? If he wants to be a DOF? He timed his release from Hammers perfectly to enhance his CV, his previous history in football suggests he’s primarily looking to be Manager or Head Coach.

I personally think going from manager to DOF is bit of backwards step kind of job you do when winding down or just want stability. He did leave manager to be coach however that’s still pretty hands on most days of the week.

Why do people want him as a DOF? Surely we are better to go for someone who has actually done the role before.

And there was me, thinking that this man was scouring every skip in England, looking for players. At least we know where the season ticket money is going. What an awful colour. And cloth. Clown suit. Clearly knew he'd need a new suit for job interviews.

New stadium is not currently on the agenda, working closely with H and Fulham council on plans to widen concourses and look at improving current facilities.
Talks about wanting to make more room for hospitality packages which sell out every game in every season.
No FFP problems as we have people to make sure we don’t break regs.
He talks about already having new staff in place to rectify poor fitness/ attitude problems with players.
Have to say Moose asked him more searching questions than anything I’ve heard previously
Maybe Stan or somebody else can decode and put in a sound bite for you Hitman.

Unlike Hoos he wasn't spinning. Eg he said something about fitness problems going back three years and that this was finally being addressed. I thought he came across well, but still think we need someone with a football brain on, or close to, boardroom level.

Some interesting comments from Ruben Gnanalingam regarding FFP, new stadium and lack of fitness amongst players. Really good interview that by Moose. Far more insightful than the spin ones the club put out. Take note media dept! Hal is also spot on about Ruben being FAR more honest and straight than Hoos ever is. Unlike Hoos he doesn’t patronise the listeners and treats them like adults. Again, take note Hoos! Hal is also correct about the lack of a football savvy man at board level, but that’s been our biggest problem for 12 years now. Hits I’ll post more details from it soon if you can’t access Instagram. Well worth hearing!

Interesting that Ruben owns another team in LA (doesn't say which sport) and how the match day experience within the stadium is so different - and seemingly more profitable.
For 'fitness' I read 'injuries'.
Interesting that the club is still 'working closely' with the council regarding a ground move.
He seems pretty relaxed about the general financial picture, but it's clear that the model for sustainability going forward is to sell players - that's (the only place?) where money for transfers is going to come from.
Hopefully the new training ground will be the catalyst for attracting young talent.

Will probably weaken but right now am thinking I might take a season off from football. I can take losing, I could even have taken relegation if the board laid out a vision and unveiled a really smart DoF and a bright young coach with a plan to rebuild.
Instead we are being run by a Ian Holloway tribute band 10 years too late

We're saved!

The only GLARING duh ommision or call it blind spot is he’s had no one qualified at board level advising him and the wrong farking people executing the plan below him! 🤦♂️

Oh and Ruben, FYI in 1975/76 when we were runners up in the premier league* we had crowds averaging 26000 (10K higher than today) with the SAME sized concourses, same shitty toilets, same cramped seats, no owned training ground just basic shared pavilion and some muddy pitches. But priority then was getting things right ON the pitch first with proper staff and board to execute it all. We were still vastly outcompeted financially by the bigger clubs but had the savvy to be plucky and punch above our weight. So how aware of you of your club’s history and how we operated then and proved what can be achieved?
* yes, old 1st division I know but still SAME tier.

Did you listen to the other interviews from Moose with Francis and Ainsworth when scrolling down on the same link Stan. I thought Francis was on the money with his views on how to move the club forward but doubt that Ruben is committed to what’s required. I got the impression from Ainsworth interview that he’s very rigid on his beliefs and is well prepared and expecting to become public enemy number 1with the fans.

Of course, ainsworth will be the enemy. Deep down, everyone knows how this movie is going to end. We will lose most weeks, playing Jurassic football. Plodders from league 1 and 2 will be brought in to fit this style of play. By October, we will be in the bottom 4 or 5. The fans will turn on him and he will be sacked but the club will be left with all his shit players, and come November, as cricket would say, it’s another season ruined.

From quite an early interview with Ainsworth he spoke about wanting to make more money and securing his family’s future, he’s on the QPR gravy train albeit with fans frustrations with how badly the club is run.

Stagger from one mess to another yet Hoos still has his fans - the man the people who don’t know how to run a football club brought in to run the football club.
