Top managers want big budgets. We’re not in that position. Never will be in Champ on 17-20k gates.

If I want something important to me I do lots of research, maybe even taking months to come to a decision, but the important thing is I’m interested enough to do that. I’m sure it’s very easy for multi billionaires to take the easy way out out and pay somebody else to make those same decisions, if that’s the case with our owners why not throw big money at attracting a top manager like this chap Rubien Amorim £10m from Braga to Sporting Lisbon. theanalyst.com/eu/2022/01/ruben-amorim-sporting-transformation/It would be like getting in Heston Blumenthal and giving him a can of baked beans and some salad cream and saying "There you go mate! Get going on that Michelin star!"

My point is the owners are content to keep losing £18m every season by the club standing still on bad managerial appointments, they need to get interested and research if MW is sacked.

I don't believe the owners are in any way content. I'm sure Warburton is on borrowed time, even if it isn't this week he goes.
The board expect to be challenging near the top.

My point is the owners are content to keep losing £18m every season by the club standing still on bad managerial appointments, they need to get interested and research if MW is sacked. It's my point too. Over the last 10 years this is the sad and sorry list of our current owners' record on their manager/coach recruitment: Mark Hughes Harry Redknapp Chris Ramsey Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink Ian Holloway Steve McClaren Mark Warburton Face it, it's a fairly atrocious record. Where are most of those names now is the clue. Then ask yourself who's responsibility was it for these appointments, what were there for qualifications, where was the imagination, how much extensive research and due diligence was made in the decisions to hire these men? Look at the bigger picture. If we're serious about wanting to look at where the club has gone wrong over the past 10 years, then that's you're starting point.

His first season we finished 13th, his second season we finished 9th.
We now sit 9th with 7 tough fixtures to play and in atrocious form.
If we finish above 9th the board could conceivably regard that as 'progress' and elect to keep him on.
So realistically they may even view 8th or 7th as a satisfactory finish and we fail to make the play-offs.

I doubt they are expecting much from now. I reckon his destiny lies in the Derby County game. Not because it’s ‘Derby’.

In the press release this morning he even admits his future beyond the end of this season is uncertain. I'd say it's very unlikely he is here next season, whatever happens in the last few games.

It was all his own doing. The team and squad up until January we’re doing brilliant. Then, when all we needed was a striker, bread man had a brain fart and in came hendrick to upset the balance and a good functioning midfield. Even director of fark ups suggested that he sign a striker. Bread man has no one to blame but himself.

Would you say that in public if you weren’t letting people elsewhere know you’re going to be out there? Strange thing to admit unless you know you’re off, resigned or pushed.

Well he said in the same article that his contract is up at the end of the season. Clearly the "renewal" was just a pay review and remained on the 1 year rolling arrangement that was in place.

I reckon he’d know by now if he was getting renewed or wants to go. Whatever the outcome it’s probably done already.

I also agree with others on here that reckon their is a good chance it will be Eustace next. Hence I could see Wankburton getting the tin tack in the Coming games to give Eustace a few games to show what he can do.

Maybe Eustace I doubt it, Eustace just took the Ireland assistant manager job, if he became our manager full time he'd have to give that up. Can't see him wanting to give that up.
