He is highly rated by players and his peers so I will give the bloke a chance. He also comes from a very good coaching school at Liverpool. His backroom team will be crucial as to whether he succeeds or bombs out.

The biggest problem he may come up against is himself.
I worked at a market leading company for 12yrs straight from school, when I left it was a complete shock to the system how other companies operated.

Just out of interest the plus points are ? All his appointments have been at big successful clubs so has a winning mentality. Previous connections at other clubs could work in our favour regarding loans and also other clubs due to his reputation. Beale fits the club profile regarding improving our youngsters. Players and managers publicly praising his coaching methods. Listening to his videos his approach to formations are flexible to suit the players at his disposal. Hes young and obviously ambitious to progress. His interviews are not full of cliches. No more “fine margins” “protecting the ball” “attack from the back, defend from the front” I’m going to miss Marbs post match interviews

What we've got here is Tactician. There is no proof yet he's a Manager. The world is full of people in every walk of life that understand the theory behind something impeccably, but are better suited to playing a back up role. I'm not saying that this is 100% the case with Beale, but it's certainly a very big roll of the dice. He's a guy that has neither managed or played football at any sort of decent level as I understand it. It really will be interesting to see how he fairs with managing and motivating players. I'd also speculate that it puts a lot of pressure on Les to run transfers. That is also a disaster waiting to happen in my opinion. good post. personally i always think more credit is due for managers like warbs, beale and cooper etc etc as they've had to take a much harder route into football than other managers. a lot of managers were pro players who've rubbed shoulders with owners and players throughout their playing career so they have that advantage when it comes to finding jobs. people like beale have to start right from scratch and work their way up the ladder right from the get go so everything they achieve is purely from merit. i do like the sound of beale though, he comes across as a great coach and is very highly rated by players and managers alike so i'm sure that he's picked up some ideas of how strong personalities manage. i'm pretty excited to see how our young players adapt to him. i think dozzell has a lot of potential but is just missing 'something' so it'll be interesting to see how he brings the best out of him. my main worry though is that its very likely that a few of our top players will be off, i can see one of dieng, chair and dickie being off if not all 3 so they'll need to be replaced not to mention a few other key areas that need new players.

I know nothing about the fella other than being an important cog in the wheel of a few big big clubs.
Good luck to him, and wish him, and us all the best next season.

Apart from this Jans, transfers imo have been pretty good for number of seasons. More good then bad I agree. But I definitely don't think it was Les pulling the strings. The vast majority of players we brought in over the last 3 season I believe were likely down to Warburton. Transfers was the 1 area that I honestly believe Warburton was excellent.

So, head coach.
I guess dof les gets more power regarding football matters.
Question.
What does a head coach entail?

Excellent. Glad they took their time. Remember Mick has turned down plenty, and wouldn't have been a push over appointment, which bodes well.
Backroom staff to be announced in due course suggests a few changes = more good news.

What does a head coach entail? Getting it right on the park. But I don't think he'll be pushed around off it. I imagine there's been a lot of discussion around roles, demarcation etc.

Strangely positive about this one given I know nothing about the guy. Good luck Beale, you'll need it.
