I think you can say what you like. But it would be better if nobody ever quoted you! 😉 Oh Christ, I just quoted you.😂 I know tongue in cheek comment 😊

Not going to judge him harshly tonight as played out of position. He's a striker not a winger.

Either way piss poor offerings Stan. Not championship level for me. Take your point Jimmy but strikers are judged on goals ultimately, as we all know. As 77 says, I'd drop Dykes and play Kelman as a striker for 3 games on the trot, just to see what he can do and give him a fair crack. If he doesn't deliver then, fine bin him off. Sinclair should have been on the wing, not Kelman.

Not going to judge him harshly tonight as played out of position. He's a striker not a winger. he started full of energy but quickly his performance out wide started to resemble the one at Watford opening day when he played in similar position. As you say strikers are judged on goals and he managed to hit the post when the ball was on the line. That might have been his chance to lift off but he never took it.

If you compare Kelman and Smyth, the latter challenges defenders, goes past them and does nothing after that. But Kelman does nothing all the time.

Kelman has better movement and positional awareness than Donkey but that dont make him capable.

would be nice see him down the centre for five or six games on the trot That's our point, isn't it? Then judge him then. As opposed to continuously playing Dykes there. Then at least you can make a fair comparison.

Then at least you can make a fair comparison. Hes shown me nothing to suggest he’s a striker even when in our U21s side . Is he going to,hold up the ball, bully, outpace or pull a trick to beat a defender, he’s had a league one loan and league 2 loan and has never been able to nail down a first team place in either league. Stan and West Acton, I would respectfully suggest it’s only in desperation for a change from Donkey or Armstrong that the fat kid Kelman is being called for. I would rather see us gamble on the greenhorn Nathan Jeche as he’s a least got one attribute in pace in his tool kit.

Contract extension may make sense.
Probably fairly inexpensive.
Marti could see potential.
The club could be planning to sell him, so more valuable on a longer contract.

Be interested to see whether he gets game time and goals for Wigan.
Always looks weak and ineffective to me but senior figures at the club keep telling us what a good finisher he is.
Lot of fans calling for him to be given a start when they were at peak Dykes frustration but then he got a start and no one has repeated the call since.
Admittedly he was played on the right wing which was not IMHO one of Marti's better calls. Clive Allen would have been shit on the wing but was quite useful in front of goal!

Amazed they have extended him. Turning into the new shodipo gets extensions but no game time.
Grafts but don’t look like a scorer. Put the wage into something else.

I imagine it’s been extended as he’s not on much wedge, could be useful in league 1 should the worst happen or could be sold on if we stay up and does well out on loan etc. its reasonably low risk

Not sure current CEO has much other choice. Doubt we can sell him. If we could, we would.

At least it hopefully gets some of his wages off the books and no doubt released on a free at the end

He signed a new contract before we loaned him out, but we were not told how long the contact was. I think the logic was that he could do well on loan and as we were staring at football in the third tier, he would be a useful squad member for us, especially started scoring. But as we survived, he is surplus to requirements now, so a loan to recoup is the best we can do for both him and the club

He signed a new contract before we loaned him out That's the really unbelievable bit. He's done nothing at this level and is rewarded. This is massive Les legacy, Charlie was his boy....
