He played 45 mins against Livingston and along with Richards had a decent game imo, crazy both not getting some mins if fit.

Youngsters like him come in on contracts paying a few grand a month. It really is a case of taking a punt on a few of them expecting to unearth the occasional gem. The real waste of money signings are people like Bonne who we paid a fee of a couple of million for and is probably on 10 grand a week. |

As I said earlier in this thread I know a couple of Liverpool season ticket holders who are well versed at the club and both messaged to say they rated him highly. Maybe the plan with him was to see how he settled and blood him next season but sod all that. If he can add anything to the squad get him in |

I would obviously be delighted if Bonner does manage to step up from his injuries and claim a first team spot.
Just had a look at the the new listing on the first team squad, if I’m honest I’m currently struggling to pick 11 players to face Huddersfield due to injuries, loss of form and lack of experience.
Is it just a case of filling in the blank spaces with some names that have been added recently.

Exactly Coney. For every injury and loss of form to a 1st teamer presents an opportunity for a squad or B-teamer to take their place. Hopefully that is the mentality that Critchley is instilling.

Ainsworth didn't want to play the youth qhilst fighting relegation.
Not sure why he didn't play them vs Bristol City, maybe he was thinking that there would be a horrible atmosphere and protecting them. Maybe they are just shit.
Still seems strange that we have gone for a 1 year, and not said if we can extend it. Not much to gain and a lot to lose.

Bonner out of contract in May?? Think we should be tying him up. If plan is bring in cheap sell high it would be shocking if he walks away for nothing in matter of months.
