I know a couple of Liverpool season ticket holders one of whom is very well connected in the club and he is adamant that kid is the real deal. Bit odd that he hasn’t really played any football at 21 but defo worth a punt

Is it correct to say if Bonner is signed he won’t be allowed to play first team football until January transfer window is open due to 25 man squad already being submitted?

Is it correct to say if Bonner is signed he won’t be allowed to play first team football until January transfer window is open due to 25 man squad already being submitted? We only named a 21 man squad as I understand it mate. Perhaps Balogun and the lad from Villa who's name I can't spell have been added since then, but I believe we still have room for new additions.

In the couple of games I’ve seen him play he looks to have a very languid style of play when out of possession, but for me looks to be a level above anybody currently at the club in that age bracket when in possession.
I would completely disagree with WLS comparison of Bonner to Amos in play style.

Only thing I don't understand is he literally doesn't appear to have played competitive games, either B/ under 21 for Liverpool? What has he actually been doing? Just training?

According to transfermarket he’s played 117 times in total for Liverpool, mainly at U21 and U18 level but didn’t play too many last season. www.transfermarkt.com/elijah-dixon-bonner/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/433180

Sounds a promising player - just not sure how he is going to get much game time this season with so many players in those positions, is he a signing for the first team or more for the U21s for now?

Ned Zelic was as versatile as an egg I seem to recall. Didn't do him much good.

But fingers crossed for this lad as he seems to have something about him.

Would rather have a player who is a specialist in a certain role. Those that play in loads of positions, never really set the world alight.

Any idea if Elijah Dixon-Bonner, is playing, as it's gone very quiet on him.

No Bonner or Armstrong. QPR 1 Millwall 0 at HT. Any idea if Elijah Dixon-Bonner, is playing, as it's gone very quiet on him. There's been nothing official that he ever even signed. Posted this 6 days ago with no response (plus nothing on official), so must have just been paper talk:

Don't tell me Dixon-Bonner's already a goner?

Looking at the background to why Bonner left Liverpool it appears he agreed to forfeit a 1 year contract extension to enable him to move on, seems an odd decision to leave other than wanting to play first team games elsewhere.

Looks like he can outfox our defence. At least he's got a name that will be less forgettable after a few weeks.

Looks a pretty decent player on some of the videos. Unexpectedly excited by this signing hopefully an unknown ready to catch on fire like Willock.

Anyone know what's become of this player we signed over two months ago?

Les is using him as a draft excluder in his office.

If he gets fit I think he’s Willocks replacement.

Was hoping we would of seen him in the squad by now, surely got to be a better option than Thomas and Shodipo.

hes more defensive midfield
so we have many options in that position shame hes not a striker lets face it
what ive seen of him hes a good player but so are Amos Field and Johansen
