I think this is a brilliant appointment. He came across really well in his interview and I believe we will be absolutely fine under his stewardship next season. As fans as long as we are realistic enough to know it will not be a walk in the park but we can see the right foundations being built then we have quite a bit to look forward to imo.

I know it’s staged, but that interview was fantastic. Really sounded like he knew what he was doing and I personally can’t wait to watch us again if we are going to play in the way he says.
Great that he is happy with a smallish squad, young players who he wants to improve and more interested in creating chances than possession levels. But most importantly, it sounded as though the club have a realistic plan for the next few years at least. And he believes in it. That was a shock. 😂

Seems like LF and LH have done their job, the bloke gives a decent interview for sure
Promising stuff about the kids and his coaching - lets hope the owners and fans let them get on with it !

i liked the interview and he came across very proffessional and seems to know what he wants to do with direction of the club. good time to appoint him too as hes known for being a bit meticulus so he has time to draw up proper plans for the team.
i cannot wait to start calling for his head in about 3 weeks time!

Just watched and I really like the sound of that and I’ve got smile on my face and bit of excitement. Said few things which jumped out one of which is being organised and comfortable in possession
Positive comments about DOF (Les) from Mark which will disappoint some. Was clear about expectations of role both sides and how they work to support each other. Helps that it’s the role he used to do

Very interesting what he said about how he sees his relationship with LF. Outspoken critics of Les may change their views somewhat after watching the interview. At minimum I would say some of their concerns should now be allayed.

Having just read a piece about him on LFW, Defence is not a priority for MH . JU will probably sort that out...hopefully.

Plea to posters next time were after a manager can we not have meltdown when we’re linked to Sherwood or a black manager
Every time the club, TF and Les get slammed in advance for appointing them and it never happens so we got get past the knee jerk reactions because the papers and what they say can not be trusted

Listening to him being interviewed on Sky. Does speak well
Let’s hope we get few easier fixtures early doors so he gets off to a flyer

If he can manage as well as he speaks we've landed one excellent manager. Easy to see now why he was the outstanding candidate for the board as must have impressed greatly in the interview. Seems honest, down to earth and an excellent communicator. Love the fact that as a teenager in the 70's he studied Dave Sexton's methods at our training ground. Also seems genuinely excited and up for the challenge which is great to see. SSN interview: www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/11714778/warburton-excited-about-qpr-challengeQPR interview:

Well we've got a proper, all-round intelligent manager at last. Let's kick on from here. Two year tilt at top 6 I reckon.

Thanks Stan - great interview. My favourite quote was "the real work is done on the grass", I heard that about 5 times when I did my UEFA B licence a few years ago and everyone said they attributed it to Warbs who did the A Licence at the same time

When he's sacked next March, I hope we'll all remember we thought this was a good deal and let's not blame Les and Tony for this.

Seems a pretty popular choice amongst most fans. Last one who had that reaction....probably Warnock.

Warburton seems to better reflect what the board have been saying they want to do. Keep expectations low - let's just try and stay in the league next season and kick on the following season when the dust has settled. Things possibly looking up.

Done enough to stay for me.

Anyone know where we are with Eustace? Or the backroom in general? Done enough to stay for me. Eustace is shown as Assistant Manager on the official site. Well... it seems like we got our manager in the back of the cab, may not be the prettiest manager but he's in the cab; to paraphrase/ mangle a quote from a manager from the past.
