Some strange memories here - no doubt a talented player but one of the biggest criticisms was that he never released the ball once he'd made the chance. Head down, step over, step over, blind alley, end of move. Plus he never benefited from Holloway's blind insistence on playing the three amigos when it was a mix that didn't work. this, he was a good player but he takes away as much as he gives to a team with his selfishness. we were a better team after he left imo.

For all his selfishness still enjoyed watching him play. Especially when he, Eze and wells were on their game.

Do not agree about him being twice the player as Chair, Yes he did well for us but I always felt the he was playing for himself. Chair will come on this year of that I have no doubt and I would rather give him the chance in the same way we did with Eze after Freeman left and Eze was a much better player for it. TBF saying he’s twice the player is probably a bit harsh but he is more accomplished and currently the better player who would imo start above Chair if Warbs had the choice between them two. Chair with the right coaching will become a far better player than Freeman and it could well be this season. Freeman stopped many counter attacks by hogging and failing to release the ball to a team mate in a better position.

Btw my opinion isn’t that I don’t rate chair as I do and I think he has lots of promise and potential but I personally feel he’s not quite ready to take the full mantle of a qpr’s number 10 just yet. Following in Eze’s footstep is not going to be easy and let’s be honest many fans will judge him on that. I hope Warbs has a understudy or alternative who can step in and help push him on for when he does show inconsistencies. My point on Freeman is he’s a established champ number 10 who can score, create and impact games consistently. I do not think Chair is there yet but that’s not say he won’t be soon.

Have a look at how much Eze improved when Freeman left? Freeman is a decent championship player but not much more. We became a better team after he left and players improved by us miving the ball quicker something that never happened with Freeman in the side

……and in those 20 games Luke has performed 132 step overs and run up 81 blind alleys.

That's a bummer for Luke.
Always thought he did well for us, decent player with a good attitude. Should have stayed with us.

Common scenario. Josh Bowler would be another example. I'm sure there's others.

I Cant think of many who have left Us and gone on to better things it'd be interesting to make a list. i was only a twinkle in my dad's eye during our heyday so i can't think of before then aside from the obvious ones like seaman and paul parker. danny simpson, eze, parejo and damien delaney are the main ones that come to mind of our modern era players but there's probably a few others

i think freeman got found out a bit at sheff utd though tbh. i liked him when he was here but we had a pretty poor team overall and a limited one at that that relied on freeman pretty heavily at times.
we became a better side after he left though, he was too much of a one man band type of player without being good enough to do the stuff he wanted to. chair is a much better freeman imo

Sterling aside not sure Furlong or Eze have done enough yet to say they have been success. Both been decent their teams but have they done enough write home about In my time I would say Les, Seaman, Walker (but was loan so Maybe don’t count), Sinclair struggling after that

Forgotten man in all these sort of threads is Chris Woods. Came here having never played for Forest and played for England after us. Won the League Cup with Forest. But yep. For us oldies the film about Forest under Clough, I Believe In Miracles, is brilliant. It's on Netflix. Seaman is probably the player with the greatest achievements after leaving.

Alex Mccarthy has done well since us. The chillian lads and Parejo have done well, though they were loans.
Hoilet stayed at this level, likewise Hall.
