So... in overall summary, our players are worthless and we'd be lucky to have other clubs take them off our hands but if we aren't pushing for promotion this season then there is something rotten at the club? ;-)

I’m sure we have players of interest to others just think our opinion and value of them differs staggeringly to what others outside of club think hence why we got what we did for Smithies and what we will get for freeman

In my opinion it's pretty unlikely that we'll be in the mix for play offs next season. Also not saying our players our worthless. Only that we are in a position of very little bargaining power. And at this moment in time, we don't have any players in the squad capable of playing regularly at a higher level. Unfortunately, with the effect of FFP on Championship clubs this means we're not gonna get big fees for anyone. Those saying Freeman is worth 8-10m are living in the past. No Championship club has that to spend this window, and Freeman isn't good enough for the Prem.

Yeah we need the money but if Lloyd Kelly goes from Bristol City to Bournemouth for £13m then we should surely be demanding more than £4m for Luke Freeman from ANY club in the PL.
We'll get our pants pulled down on selling him.....as usual

We'll get our pants pulled down on selling him.....as usual Lloyd Kelly is 20 years old, he has the potential to improve and play at the highest level. As such, any club buying him will be looking at a.) can he do a job for us now, and b.) can we make a profit on him when we eventually sell him on? Freeman is 27 and is probably about as good now as he's ever going to be. Can't really compare the 2. Also, Bristol City are a well run club that have done very well at living within their means in recent years. As such, they probably don't have the same pressures that we do to sell in order to balance the books. They have bargaining power, whereas we don't!

Good news if true. I'm sure he will still go this window, but fair play to the club for holding out for as much as they can get.

IMO - £13m for potential should mean that clubs should be paying at least half that for someone who has performed consistently well at this level. Certainly more than £4m and I'm glad to see QPR have rejected that offer.

Sky just put on their site that he's going to Sheffield United for £3m.
Bullshit surely?
Why would we reject a £4m offer only to accept £3m?

Sorry mate, I just don't agree. 2 and half years ago we got Freeman for 300k, and nobody else at Championship level was in for him. Of course he's come on a little bit since then, but what has he really done to justify being touted around as an 7-10m quid player? I don't even agree with your point about him being a consistent performer. He blows hot and cold, went totally missing last season when we were having a bad spell and needed our best players to step up a bit.

Hang on sky sports get it wrong on a daily basis? I think I’d rather trust the word of a journo that at least has some sort of success rate with the club over the column filler that is sky sports. If he’s saying we’ve turned down 4 then we’ve turned down 4. Sky sports are very often so far wide of the mark you can’t actually see the mark

tony's accepting 3m for freeman coz saying we made a 10 fold profit on freeman is easier than saying we made 13.3x the profit on him.

Dave Mac: "There is nothing to this story about about Ravel Morrison returning to QPR on loan". The QPR Official site 5 minutes later: "Ravel Morrison returns to QPR on loan".

#Bungle Park Rangers #Queens Patk Discount Pissing myself at your second hashtag... That is quality. We are the charity club. We give millions to mercenaries, give away our stadium rights for free, now our best players for peanuts. Pull your trousers up bungle, you are a complete and utterly inept clown. No1 bozo of the whole English league.

Cannot say I am suprised by the fee bearing in mind our recent track record. Warburton will be working under the same conditions as McClaren so cannot expect miracles from him and the lads that have come in. The cupboard is getting bare and at some point something will have to give.

The cupboard is getting bare and at some point something will have to give. On a serious note, you are spot on 73. Slowly but surely, the club are looking to get rid of the likes of Luongo and freeman, most likely with eze and lumley to follow. They will be and have been replaced by cheap, Scottish league tat. Really feel for you guys that shelled out another small fortune on season tickets. I bow to your loyalty, I really do. I fear this window will be the straw that broke the camels back.
