Ok, let's take opinion out of this discussion and look at raw facts. Lyndon Dykes has made 93 QPR appearances scoring 27 goals. Paul Smyth made 23 QPR appearances and scored 2 goals. Even since dropping down 2 divisions to get a game, Smyth has only scored 10 in 43 appearances. Regardless of what you think of Dykes, he has proven to be far more effective than Smyth at putting the ball in the net! Both shit then 🤣🤣

I was never given any proper chance. Hundreds of thousands weren't. That's the name of the game. If you give all your youth and squad players a proper chance you will never play your best 11.
Ah, now it all makes sense...

I've warmed to this signing a bit. Probably not a bad player to play off of Dykes if we are gonna be resorting to a more direct style next season.

Another one I’m like ok whatever but again I’m so despondent about us now any signing will do. That’s where this club has me.

orient fans are all saying he's too good for league 1 so here's hoping. he wasn't terrible in his last spell with us, he just wasn't good enough at the time.
hopefully the time away has developed him. he'll at least be better than shodipo and adomah lol.

He kept Kelman out of the side when he was fit.

Has he bulked up since last time? Last time his build seemed much too slight for this level.

With our record of treating injuries we’ve got to ban that goal celebration in case he pulls something - he’ll be out for months!😁

Always liked him previously, but he hasn't exactly torn League 2 to pieces has he?
Trying to be ever optimistic & thinking maybe him buzzing off / around Dykes might work to some degree, but it really is a bit of a sign as to how far we have fallen to be signing Paul Smyth back isn't it...

If the lad hadnt played for us before people would be excited. Player from the lower leagues that previous clubs fans loved. Only 25, pace and a winger.
It’s the QPR way to damn him before he’s even laced his boots.

I still remember his debut when he scored a wonder goal v Cardiff. At the time I thoguht we've got a real prospect on our hands. From most of what I'm hearing he's bulked up, got fitter and I think this is a good signing in the straitened circumstances we find ourselves in.
