3-0 up and into injury time, then some racist abuse rears its ugly head, would likely test the collective will and unity of the team. Would they bite the bullet and see the next minute or two out? You would think not out of the principle, but either way the statement put out is the right and admirable one. But again, it still comes down to the gross lack of deterrent against these nations by the powers that be.

I think all teams should never set foot on the pitch again, just in case.!!!  If the authorities won't act then it leaves very few options. As an aside, what do people think about the vitriol and abuse any player perceived to be underperforming receives from home fans? Say some of those things in person outside the stadium it could lead to an arrest in some circumstances. |

The players can hear what is being said and by now no-one can be unaware about the effect this abuse has on the players mental state. As much as I hated the cunt playing for us I never once booed or shouted abuse at Joey Barton. I saved it for the message boards etc. Not because I was afraid he might lamp me but because of the morale draining effect that slagging players off during a game has. Even if a player is phoning it in on a regular basis then you have to ask questions of the manager and their coaches. |

Surely the easiest solution, should it happen, is for the referee to get the players off, get the stadium emptied and resume the game soon afterwards.
And in addition, get full agreement of all countries that any repeats will result in either expulsion from competitions or made to play behind closed doors for a number of years.

For years the thick England fans have been singing insulting songs about the Irish ,no one has done nothing .all rascism is wrong not just when 200k a week footballers get upset and threatened to walk . I don't go to watch England anymore as my family are Irish . Still have my membership and when I get emails as I do every home game , I tell them why I won't be coming as England fans are rascist

My concerns are; why the need to broadcast their response to any chanting? It would have made a far greater impact if none of us were aware of the players intent. Reading the Sunday Telegraph article on Bulgarian ultras, I don't expect to see the game lasting the 90 minutes  |

Balkan countries ,east countries ,will always be anti black because not many live there.Uk was same late 50s 60s,no dogs blacks irish signs were rife over here.Now we have not as much problem with it.Spain is quite bad too. But all countries are racist to a extent as all think they better than some one else.
