I dunno mate I always got the impression whenever he went out on loan he did well, certainly well enough for R's fans to want him to be given a chance.

he had a decent first season as no1 with us too. think he kept something like 15 clean sheets that year.
he never had great reflexes but his organization, positioning, catching and distribution was always solid tbh but only for that first year. after that he just went to shit.

Genuinely felt sorry for him at times though. I remember Brentford away having a barney with a fan who was hurling abuse at him that he could clearly hear every word of - was helping nobody. Clearly Champ is above his level, just baffles me that clubs keep signing him. Was evident at Boro last year he was miles below the standard required.

Lumley also had a long run of games on loan at Bristol Rovers without conceding a goal.
Said before MW ruined Lumley’s career here by not taking him out the firing line earlier, he’s obviously still carrying that baggage to this day.

Are you going to coat the Man U keeper with the same brush? Our defence was shite and confidence was low throughout the team. You know a Keepers position on the field is very different to any other. Why isn’t MB playing Armstrong every game, I would suggest he don’t want to kill his confidence if things don’t go well. We don’t have to agree.

Joe is so crap, he could have a 24/7 for a week solid bareback train run on him in a male sauna, and still catch nothing.

Whats your excuse for thinking Jeff Hendrick was a great signing last season when every stat and video showed he was,as you say, “a turd”

He aint the first & certainly won't be the last player with a good history / pedigree who simply doesn't work out for us.

Good on him.
Never understood the hate he copped at QPR.
Had some poor games, had some great ones and loved the club.
In terms of a general, overall player rating, I would say he's better than most we have at the moment.

Why did Boro get rid of him and Reading not sign him? 2nd or 3rd choice at Saints, isn't he?

he's certainly fallen upwards lol. i can see him making a career out of being 3rd choice at multiple prem clubs for their british player quota. not bad tbh, easiest job in football.

Never understood the hate he copped at QPR. Lumley's demise at LR was down to Warburton. Let's not forget that before we reach for the rose tints and start looking back at MW's glory days Setting the Beale fiasco to one side, all our recent managers, including MW and the current incumbent, have been old skool dogshit - albeit for different reasons. Let's have it right.
