tbh i don't think most fans are vehemently against moving out of the area as we understand how difficult it is to stay there. chelsea have had a nightmare redeveloping SB despite being a far bigger and more influential club than ours.
most people would accept it as long as we stay as close as possible, say ealing, acton or kilburn sort of area at most.
benefit with LR is the club owns the freehold to it which is massively lucrative to any potential buyers and there are other ways to make money on the stadium while also saving money for the new one. selling parts of the stadium to fans, using/selling the concrete from the stadium as hardcore and scrapping the metal would generate some money too. using the old stadium as hardcore for the new stadium has a bit of a romantic feel to it too lol.

I personally think they will re develop Loftus Road It will be alot cheaper prob 50 - 100 million Rather than a new ground costing 200k - 300k Out of the area which fans will hate 30k is unrealisted and impossible at Loftus 25k possibly would work Council would also add help to this re generation of LR No way Gens, councils expect developers to help THEM by providing some infrastructure like a new road or housing.

I’d love to see L C as I think we must stay local. Wouldn’t cost much in the wider scheme of things to build a matchday station - they’re only construction kits these days. That might help with the impact studies. I know I’m cynical about the whole thing but I can’t see any of this happening. We missed the boat when they were talking about it years ago. Good though that Westy says I’m always wrong 😂

Me too and the only way to enlarge LR footprint would be close SA road……..now there’s a great idea for H and F, councils love closing roads😂

Missing the the whole point.
LR has to go to fund this project end of.
The council want housing in a residential area.
That happens the council allow us to build at LC.
South Africa is not going to close, the stadium is outdated.
Reuben will want his money or a viable plan to move forward.
If you want LR to remain in whatever guise with seats fit for purpose ie legroom it aint going to happen. The only way this might happen and that is a big might is houses on Ellerslie rd and Loftus Rd being demolished, cant see that happening imo.
If we want to remain local LC is our best bet,and we need the council onside for this.

So our negotiating position should be ‘we build on LC first’.

Majeski is the stadium we should have tbh
Its a good stadium
If we sell the land to pay for a new stadium
Great we need to move forward as a football club
I agree LR is prob a non starter
I bet they are looking at Reading atm though
Merger possibly even though fans will hate it

At present the club is un sustainable ]They need a way of making it sustainable
Whether the fans like it or not
They wont keep paying out 2 mill a month
Nor would I either tbh
Make some tough decisions for the future of the club

I bet they are looking at Reading atm though. Merger possibly I bet they're not Gens. Not a cat in hell's chance of it imo. It's Berkshire, 40 miles outside London and no connection whatsoever to the club.

Best way forward for everyone is sell the Loftus Road stadium land to finance the new Linford Christie new stadium.
Why is this so difficult i dont get it its a good solution.
Council will be happy / LR residents will be happy / 100 s More houses for vagrants / Council get bars and restaurants its a no brainer surely
Maybe the new investors required are to finance the Linford Christie land that the council have required.

It seems like it revolves around non match day use. Council would like the non match day income from the site and equally so would we.

Re Gen's suggestion of Reading, probably a wind up, but that would never work. I'm realistic about moving out somewhere along the M4/ M40 corridor in direction of M25 and to leave the borough but can't be anywhere like as far as Reading IMHO as you are effectively inventing a new club like MKDons and that hasn't really worked.

Mk Dons did it.
Why wouldnt we even as a temporary home. I agree its unlikely more likely Fulham i think as a ground share for 1 or 2 seasons.
I tend to not rule anything out as this world is crazy
LC new ground is obviously the best for all concerned, watch this space.

MK dons stole an entire club to do it and lost all their fans.
i don't see is ground sharing with reading simply because we don't really need too tbh. the great thing about london is that there are grounds everywhere for temporary ground sharing. fulham and brentford are obvious options but there's still the likes of millwall, AFC wimbledon and even the harlequins rugby ground as potential options to ground share with while LR is being rebuilt.

IF, if it’s LC build it first. They can have contract for LR sewn up before. Might keep all parties focused too.
