Just seen an article saying Amos is out of contract in the summer of 2023, it appears a particularly poor decision by the club to allow his contract run down at this point imo. I like Amos, very good player on his day, but he's spent so much more time injured than playing for us. If he manages to get a run of games without injury between now and Christmas I'd say yeah extend but he's still not fit. Might not be worth keeping him.

amos on his day is one of our best CM's imo. runs like mad, good on the ball and gets forward too. i'd give him a new deal 100%, class player.

As Timmy says, it makes sense considering his injury record. Suspect they're waiting to see if he can stay injury free for an extended period before committing to an extension.

Good player on his day , struggles with injuries , fitness and belief. Needs to have a run on injury free months before we put out another contract

Brief glimpse we had of him playing for Beale was encouraging. I want to see what he does with him. Just hope he’s fit enough now.

Amos out. I think he will be permanently. Can't see us renewing his contract. Sadly tend to agree. Would only be worth it on a pay as you play deal. I like him as a player and each manager has praised his attitude but if you are never actually fit to do the job you are paid vast amounts to money to do, what is the point?

Would probably look to move him on end of season. Shame as decent player in there but body appears unable to cope with demands.

Time to cut Amos loose.
Totally unreliable and unfortunately doesn't affect games when he does manage to get on the pitch.

I feel sorry for Amos. He's had 2 injuries that could potentially be career enders very early in his career. He's a good player, but injuries stay with you.

Think they have definitely affected his mentality. Eel allured to players crying off at the slightest knock and I just had a hunch he was talking about the likes of Amos and roberts. Amos won’t be on bad money either and he’s next to never available so got to cut him loose. Good player when he’s fit but it’s just not often enough for us to carry him any longer

To me, Amos is a player I would like to see us give a new 1 year contract. I might be naive, but just Imagine how good he can be if he finally manages to shake off his injuries?

I see what you mean and objectively it all makes sense... But I still want to cling on to the hope that his misery eventually will end well for him and us fans here at QPR.

Seems a fairly minor niggle according to Critch and should be back soon:

I like Amos. Fit, he’s a starter for me but looks like he’ll always have some sort of ‘minor niggle’. Sadly needs to be moved on.

Unlikely though isn't it Westy? He's had a ruptured cruciate on both knees. It's actually pretty impressive he manages 20-25 games a season at this level as it is.

Has been said before how do you fit Amos into this team, for me the only real quality he did possess was stamina and that appears missing now.
He’s lightweight in a tackle ,hasn’t got natural ability to go past players, not creative enough to dictate play.
Overall he’s not progressed much at all since he’s joined.

Glad he’s sorted with a club as he’s too good to be finished at his age. His hammys won’t like the cold up there but if he stays fit he will be a standout player up there.

good luck to him. i met him when he was first on loan to us as he was lost in chiswick and was wandering around the site i was working at looking bewildered, bit of a surprise for me to look up from cutting hedges and seeing luke amos there asking me for directions lol. nice guy though, we had a chat about his career up to date and he said then that he was hoping to earn a perm move to us.
i'm surprised it took him this long to find a club as on his day he's a good championship player. shame that he's just always injured as he has the ability to carve out a good career for himself.
