We need a home end not a couple of corners and a bit in SA upper.

Funny you should say that all those empty seats lower loft, disgrace sends out the wrong message.
This really needs to be addressed we need a vibrant vocal home end no question about it,come on rangers sort it out.

Or ever since lower loft became family stand, to be precise.

We need a home end not a couple of corners and a bit in SA upper. Designating the lower loft as family was one of the more boneheaded calls of recent years. Massively shot ourselves in the foot. If safe standing eventually gets the nod then Loft end is a no brainer. I hope they'll see sense before then, but frankly I wouldn't trust this lot to run a car park.

We not the easiest team to do songs for are we. Football grounds have changed with fan base as more families etc and your old skill singers are not as young. Plus who wants to be like those clown palace ultras anyway.

Say what you like ,on match days you can hear Palace sing from a fair distance from selhurst park , our vocal support is crap ,the youth need to get themselves organised and others will join in .

But even at away games it often seems to be the case that theyd rather sing and throw beer around on the concourse at half time ,instead of getting behind the team during the game , really strange

Sing out the back throw beer and make a video of it get in the stands and silent The new one we will be copping is all piling on top of each other on stairs when we score

Q, P and R blocks were pretty loud for a lot of the game, as they are almost every game, but if you're sitting in SA Rd or the other end of Ellerslie I can see how you wouldn't be able to hear it. Agree that the lower left family stand has been a massive detriment to matchday atmosphere. It's been brought up so many times at fan forums I can't see them changing it. I guess all we can do is keep bringing it up more and more and hopefully they'll get the message.

Early kick off is hard for kids as they play football in the morning. My nephews both play so cant do that and get to LR for 12.30. Even 3pm is a struggle due to time it takes to get there from Sunbury and getting home from playing. Atmosphere in the Y block has got quieter recently but started the season well. Problem is, hopes of play offs go and we are back to midtable and it's boring. Yeah the football is good now but with very little to get excited about, the atmosphere wont be there. We dont have the feel good factor that we did at the start of the season after the good start. Agree that the youth getting something sorted is needed Now we have cheaper seats for under 23s it is really needed. I maintain that our sitting culture is killing it. Watch most other teams and they have large standing sections. We don't even have 1 whole block standing and that's where you generate the noise. And agreed we dont want ultras like Palace but they have got a standing culture together, young fans are leading the chants and despite being midtable their volume is brilliant, plus they have better songs than us. We have no originality and we don't sing anything for the players.

Ditto. 60k in White Hart Lane, not far short in the old Valley. Sometimes you got shoved to the front. First place I stood at LR was over the stairs in the old Loft.

My old man even made me a stool and they happily let you in with that back then. So I either went down the front or stood on my stool.

i do believe that a family stand is vital Why? I went along as a nipper, no family stand, terraces. Loved it. Plenty of other kids too. football and times in general have changed. football headlines now are dominated by the big boys in the prem and given that london has loads of clubs already we need to do our best to stand out and offer something different to kids who'd much rather follow chelsea's instagram for their football fix and then return to fortnite than follow a random midtable championship club. we as a club have to be interactive with kid so they want to come here and tell their friends at school about what they did/saw at qpr otherwise we'll just be lost in the shuffle. kids are glory hunters by nature lol and are easily distracted especially in todays world of gaming etc

As so many have mentioned before though, the real issue here is its lower loft location. This here thread is just another example of countless why the issue keeps getting raised, and will continue to get raised, until it gets resolved by having a family area in a more appropriate part of the stadium. The other possibility, which would of course be a real shame, is if nothing ever gets done about it whilst we remain at LR, and it's only addressed when we eventually move ground. Indeed this is probably what the club have in mind, but that is of course years away in all likelihood.
