Ryan Porteous C/B at Hibs..They were on tv a few weeks ago and Dillon Barnes was on loan there so decided to see what Keeper was like.
Barnes looked average but was really impressed with Porteous...Saw Millwall had £2m bid turned down yesterday.
Maybe it was Liam Kelly not Barnes

Who should you be looking at in Scotland? Being truthful, me, I’ve got one of the best football brains on these islands. I know some things about football others don’t. I can make players better, any of the players in your squad

As far as players go, I look at things a bit differently, I see players as how I could improve them, make them better. My favourite manager is Bill Shankly, now Shankly made lots of quotes that are quite well known. And if you listen to him, he’ll tell you what you are looking for in a player, the most important attribute

I think Scottish football would be a great idea! But cant see it working though. I think it’s probably too cerebral for us Scots

Ok folks, we know that sometimes our cousins down South can be a little slow, so I’ll try to make it simple. What did Shankly say were the most important attributes in the above video? You folks do like games, don’t you?

Love Bill Shankly. What an inspirational leader of men he was.

Hard on players that need it; and the opposite for those that don't need it.

Honesty, honesty, Stan you’ve got to be honest with yourself and each other. These are Shanklys thoughts, different managers will have different ideas. I’m drawn to Shankly because I see from a similar perspective

The English had Cloughie. The Scots had Shankly. Both cut from similar cloth.

Why though Stan, what did he do? I saw a fascinating documentary on the whole story. Basically the hierarchy really didn't take to him. He took them on and challenged the big star players. Player power in the end got him the sack. Just a very bad fit

He told them what he thought of them, he was being honest with them. Would you agree Stan? Absolutely RS. He told them some home truths. All those big star names had become too comfortable and he tried to shake things up, but it totally backfired

Why? Why did he do that? Why was he honest with them Because they needed it. They'd become too complacent as they knew their places weren't under any threat.

Because Clough and Shankly believed that honest relationships are the strongest, most productive relationships, perhaps? People who are honest with themselves and honest with each other. And they would try to make you honest if they thought you were a fraud, they’d try to make you see your true self by destroying your ego, fake personality. They’d do this for your good and the good of the team. They want you to be the best possible you by being honest with yourself. Would you agree, Stan? They wanted you to overcome your own shortcomings to grow as a person and as a player, reminiscent of Nietzsche and the Ubermensch. Would you agree Stan?

Yes, and got sacked after 44 days 😂That marriage was NEVER going to work. Clough hated 'the dirty Leeds' just like everyone else outside Leeds did in those days. Revie was a cheat and his players were exactly that, his. They hated Clough and were never going to play for him. Complete debacle from the outset.

I think the simple answer is Team Spirit, although I’m not involved at the club, so that’s my opinion from the outside looking in, they’ve had a little luck at times too. But Team Spirit, working hard for each other, which had lead to a couple of wins, which builds confidence and the momentum grows from there. Similar to where QPR are at just now. I can see QPR going on a good run. They’ve been on a decent run, Derby being the exception but there were reasons for that, namely the injury to Carroll and having no direct replacement.
