Alan Campbell, young defensive midfielder, mentioned earlier in the thread, from Motherwell off to Luton Town. Be interesting to see how he gets on. Good to see him take a step up in competition.

Not sure where I should put this, but I`m watching my Norwegian favourite team, Sandefjord, atm, who is coached by Martin Ødegård`s father, Hans Erik Ødegård. So far we are letting easy goals in,no matter how many we score lol.. Zonal marking and communication are the problems. 0-0 against Viking Stavanger atm though...

pretty good tbh. some of our targets have been obvious but others have been real gems or diamonds in the rough. eze springs to mind.

but then you have someone like willock who's been phenominal for us despite being relatively unknown when on loan at west brom and huddersfield, neither of whom did he rip up any trees with.
ngl i wasn't over the moon when we signed him and figured he was just gunna be a squad player and someone to cover for chair.
easily out POTY so far although i do rate chair just as highly as willock, they just have different attributes.

i can't remember the last true flop we've had in all honesty. no one has failed spectacularly, the worst signing we've made in recent years probably has to be mlakar but even then he was just a loan. george thomas is probably up there too but he's not a terrible player so to speak, he's just out of his depth in the championship but he still tries his absolute best.

nearlg every player we've brought in since warbs has been here has been pretty good and i'd argue they've all been improvements on who we've had before or improved since arriving. at the very least they've played their part.

If I’m honest I wasn’t impressed by Belks video named “scouting in a digital age” shown on You Tube a couple of years ago,the cost of sending scouts to Europe to view players live seemed a non starter.

Belk is keen to claim credit for Paal but iirc why were we reportedly bidding a million + for George Cox in same Dutch league over a couple of windows.

So in 13 years in the job how many others has he brought in that could justify his appointment.
