I could be getting carried away, but do we have the next Alan McDonald on our hands? If this lad is given a proper chance, I can see him going from strength to strength.

Yes, he did very well. Only had one bad moment, when Bamford turned on him. Luckily old Patrick was not on his game today and skied it over.

In fact they're both Irish, so the analogy stands that test!

Fantastic performance from him today. No way should Barbet be recalled when fit if he keeps that up.

big game for masterson this, if he does well in his 3rd appearence then the plan to loan him can go out the window! in danger of over hyping him I fear (not you fans overall) not been really tested yet. Today will tell us more Did well again I thought. What do others think? Another clean sheet, alongside Hall, with Kelly behind and Wallace to the left. Same when we turned over Swansea.

A very good match from him I think. One for the future, and not sure he needs to go out on loan..But I trust Warburton .

Real deal. Play him don't loan him. Reminds me of young Macca.

I thought he was class today. Sending him on loan would be a big mistake imo.

I'd rather have the BFG / Masterson partnership than any of the other plums we've had at the back all season. On that note, I'd have me at RB than Kane...what a fucking prick...Chelsea reject galore Was he that bad today? I agree, that he has mostly been poor, but found him to be ok today? Edit: Just saw date mush. Point is moot

This kid is class.
Composed, awareness is spot on, brilliant in the air and looks calm and confident.
Well done son 👍🏼

I've liked everything I've seen of Conor so far.
Do we think he will keep his spot when Leistner and Barbet are fit?

Do we think he will keep his spot when Leistner and Barbet are fit? I'd have him ahead of Barbet, at the least. who'd need to earn his place back now. Main thing is it shows the pressure is now off this month to bring in a CB.

As you say though, good to have more cover there than we'd realised.

Yes, don't think Hall's starting place is a certainty either. We have genuine options there now.

Competition for places is what we need. We seem to have that all over park now other then RB

Hopefully Kane will start getting more of these good performances under his belt and that will change.

MW wanted to send him out on loan and I believe it was Chris Ramsey and his staff that said no he won't go out on loan & is ready for our first team.
Fair play to them for digging their heels in.

I like Todd Kane. Puts in a nice delivery and links up well. Slightly suspect defensively at times but game time and familiarisation will help that.
Good work ethic too.
