He was shite yesterday for that second goal but on the whole I think he’s done alright. Wouldn’t want Archer anywhere near the starting XI. 100%. Flapped for the Cardiff goal, was pony - but he has kept us in more than his fair share (Ipswich the game before ffs). Way down the pecking order for me in regards to areas of concern.

Yes, makes plenty of top saves to excuse an occasional howler, imo.

Its just typical of Rangers - and the lack of strategic planning that a decent DoF would instil - that we are back to a manager who wants to pass it out from the back with a keeper who treats the football like a bag of hot coal.
However, as Matty said, way bigger problems to deal with and if we don't have the money to solve those we sure as hell aren't going to solve this.

Ok, so we have a keeper who is not happy with the ball at his feet (and a CB with a mistake in him every game) so STOP playing it around at the back until we are capable of putting the ball away at the other end.

Know what you mean - but then aren't we back to Ainsball - ie hoof it to Dykes who couldn't trap a trout in a fish tank?

No, give it to midfield, don’t hoof it. Just keep it away from Begovic and Dunne unless he’s moving forward. He’s actually hit a few decent passes recently, it’s his footwork that’s scary.

Begovic is ok to have until the end of the season but another one I won't miss to much when his contract is up in June.

And he should not speak publicly about his Chelsea days during this period. Read the room.

And he should not speak publicly about his Chelsea days during this period. Read the room. Why shouldn't he? Firstly we don't have a rivalry with Chelsea - it's a made up fantasy from the 1980s which won't go away - and even if we did providing he's not turning up to QPR matches with a Chelsea shirt on its absolutely none of our business how he spends his free time unless it affects his performances. I think there should be more emphasis on QPR fans thinking like adults to be honest.

I’ve been disappointed in what I’ve seen. Guessing on big chunk of cash for what he’s offered this far. Reminds me of Rob green pulls of great saves keeping you in game then throws one in making all previous efforts pointless.

Bergovic has made some rickets like a lot of our players, don’t think it’s in our best interests right now to alienate him further.

How many times is he gonna get beat from distance??
I’d like to see the first goal back but, first impressions were he should be getting that considering how far out the shot was.
Distribution poor also.

Distribution poor also. posted it in match thread. It’s accurately placed but think should be getting hand to it even if he don’t save it. I’m not a big fan I know few rate him but I think he’s a keeper from a by gone age, games moved on from his style.

His distribution is way too slow for me. He’s done well this season with regards to the amount of saves he’s had to make but, we really need to be looking beyond him going forward.

He’s ok but nothing special. It’s at the other end of the pitch that is our biggest issue. Must take our chances.

We have a tradition of having had some really good keepers.
Lately, they have been well below par, including the current one.
How on earth he is captain is beyond me. Says more about the lack of leadership qualities elsewhere.

made some decent saves to be fair but way off the standard of some of the keepers we've had in the past 10 years

Yet again, I find myself being frustrated with his distribution and speed to move the ball.
Made some good claims in the air yesterday, but when the ball needs to be moved fast, he just doesn’t seem to be able to pick up on the runners. What do they do in training?
Also, 6 minutes into stoppage time and he took 40 seconds to take a goal kick, big heavy deep breaths in and all the rest of it when inside I felt like screaming, just kick the fucking ball up the pitch.
I do think he’s done a job for us this season, but will be happy to see a new keeper come in.

I find him really frustrating from an attacking perspective he seems intent on assessing every option instead of using instinct seeing Willock Armstrong or Smyth bombing forward and just delivering the ball. Easily replaceable next season.

Easily replaceable next season. It’s so annoying and you can see the players are frustrated because they’ve busted their arses making a run which a lot of the time look like good runs and he just doesn’t look up. As you said, seems happier weighing up every situation to then play a 5 yard ball Inside our own box which then pins us in. That part could be coming from the manager but I don’t like it because I don’t think it enhances us at all. It just puts us under unnecessary pressure.

All i will say is Begovic needs to get his act together big time. My patience is wearing thin over his inability to come for crosses and command his area more, made worse still considering his big height advantage.
