Interesting to read at the end of the article linked to in that Tweet, that Begovic is hoping to extend his contract with QPR, according to TalkSport.

Would be good back up for a younger goalie, just like Cerny. Played very well last two games.

Been solid last two games but, over his whole tenure, age, playing style etc I’d release him and wish him well.

Same as Dykes for me; why has he suddenly found form?

Same as Dykes for me; why has he suddenly found form? Because he must have been so embarrassed by that fumble at Plymouth. No pro would want to be remembered by that.

If he's not here next season there will be lots of big gloves to fill.

Would be a great mentor to our younger keepers.

Assuming his salary is small then a good back up.
But, if I were him, would I want to be back up for a team in championship or go to Scotland and be in for a chance to win trophies, earn more and play in Europe?

He's got his goalkeeping school in West London, hasn't he? Wasn't that part of the reason for wanting to play for us? Doubt he'd go to Celtic.

I hope he’s not here as back up he’s past it. Get shot no sentiment. What are we a charity case.
I’ve seen people saying put Albert on coaching staff Why? to dance and juggle the ball.

I get the feeling Marti has a ruthless side Westy. I am really looking forward to the comings and goings in the summer

i could be wrong but i thought he has a two year contract.
Rumors have him on a pretty healthy pay scale.
More than happy to sign an experienced keeper as backup to Joe Walsh, as long as he is on modest wages.
Would hope the club will use all availabe money to sign a half decent striker.

Begovic has caught some flak this season, but for me he's got a solid 7/10 for his whole contribution. I'm sure he has had a leadership role in the dressing room and an experienced, calming influence to the squad - which I suspect held things together in the rather nervous, fraught last few months.

What I saw of him he's a decent keeper though not great.
There is, however, a lot of LFW types who are fixated with the fantasy rivalry with Chelsea and who became obsessed about him.

Seen on the socials there's a rumour that we're looking to sign him up on a new deal. Disappointing if true.

Surely not? He really doesn't strike me as Marti's kinda keeper tbh. Would be really surprised.

Begovic's agent working hard to get an improved offer from QPR, drumming up interest from Celtic and Bournemouth. I hope any offer we have made reflects his form across the season, not just the last few games. Was very impressed with the Crawley keeper in the run-in and play offs. Apparently out of contract, Corey Addai competing with Walsh would be a decent option. Perhaps Begovic will become the goalkeeping coach if Marti likes him. But I hope we do not start with Asmir as first choice in August.
