I don't blame the player mate. He's getting 20 bags a week at best here. No sane man walks away from 3m quid worth of contract. Newcastle need to chuck him a handshake for the shortfall and the move happens. I don't blame him either. It's down to the clubs to make the deal happen.

Totally in Newcastle's court mate. They can be hardheaded about it and pay more money to waste the next 18 months of the players career. Alternatively they can work out a pay off that allows them and the player to move on. They've already wasted 1.25m by not getting the deal done in the summer. Hopefully they're motivated to make it happen in Jan.

This is the deal that needed to be done And still does I just can’t see it happening It would have been done by now
He does not fit into the free flowing attacking football that Marti wants and has signed players to implement this
However we will be implementing this in Div 1 if he doesn’t make this signing
Go all out get this man mountain back

Dunno if that's the case Gens. I reckon it would have happened in the summer if the numbers had worked.
Marti ain't daft, he's probably looking at our performances so far and thinking exactly the same as us. "I wished we'd signed a midfielder with a bit of nouse and bite in the summer".

This is the deal that needed to be done Problem is the ball is not in our court on this one, however much we want / need him. It's really down to NUFC, for whatever reason they couldn't be arsed to do business in the sumnmer even though it was in everyones interest. I think a deal will happen in January, but it may not be with us.

Saw that and awful decision whoever is responsible. Turning him down for Ashby when you have already signed Santos and Dunne can fill in.
Not sure any QPR fan would have picked Ashby over Hayden.

Ashby looks really poor IMO even in these early stages of his time with us. Hoping he can turn it around as a lot of Geordies on X seemed to be talking him up when Newcastle announced he was coming down here.

Loved that guy, not the greatest player but put in a massive shift every game.
