Very good player at this level DK. Looked a bit hap hazard in the early days, but I really think he was just the fall guy for a pretty dysfunctional defensive unit at the time. He's grown into the shirt and he's proving to be a very astute bit of business.
The fact he's been able to avoid injury and suspension for the whole season is remarkable. Can't say I can remember another outfield player playing every minute of every game in a season for us in recent years.

So loads of so called insiders announced that Barbet wanted to go back to France. But it tuns out he wants to remain at QPR but hasn't been offered a contract. If he were under contract he would be worth some decent money. Been a great servant and unlike a lot of out of contract players is of a decent age. I get that the board want a clear out but he is definitely one I would keep. Seems madness to me.

Maybe they are waiting for a new manager to make a decision but he is someone we could almost certainly command a fee for. At they very least he must be worth a squad place. What is the point of a DoF if we can't make those kind of strategic decisions? Suspect a lot of older players will get bombed out, inc Austin now he does not qualify for a contract extension, as we do need more intensity and running ability. But you do also need a mix of players in the Championship and Barbet gives us something that we are not going to pick up for free elsewhere IMHO. |

Wd be frustrated if this was all about making Kakay first team - decent lad by all accounts and "one of our own" etc but just not good enough, sad to say. Re Barbet - one of my fave players but if we are moving to four at the back as I've read on here don't think he will work. Indeed, we introduced 3 or 5 at the back - depending on how you view it - precisely to accommodate him. |

Anyone heard a similar rumour? being reported on WLS now. afaik he is a bordeux supporter and came from their academy too. however bordeux are in a massive bit of mess, they were recently relegated from ligue 1 and have tonnes of off the field problems too, especially financially which stems from ligue 1's failed TV deal a few years ago. i wouldn't be surprised if barbet was using bordeux as a way to get a better deal from us. either way i hope we keep him as he's a very good player at this level |

Four at the back two centre halves only Dunne Dickie also have Dy Wyze and Masterson
The issue will be Lb and Rb chaps I feel

He was right. Easier to replace too if the rumours of flat back 4 under Beale are true. |

Happy if he stays but not overly fussed if he goes
Can remember plenty of times when he’s had fans pulling hair out and people saying he’s not good enough and has a brain fart errors in him
If he goes someone else gets a chance at the free kicks 😁
