Very down to earth. Good to hear him giving a nod to the manager and the board.

Level headed, feet on the ground and comes across sensible. Don’t seem like type of lad who will get carried away by the hype around him
If he keeps learning and maintains that attitude he will do well
More I see of him more I like

"doing well you feel less tired - bring on Preston" I like that. Players like to play. Has always been so.

Bright lad, as Acton says, with a good attitude. He's been impressed with the club's recruitment too - got to be a good sign both on and off the pitch in terms of the dressing room atmosphere and togetherness.

Recruitment won't stand up so well if we don't keep the loans - been there before - so a lot is going to depend on how well we finish this season and how it influences the club's thoughts in the summer.

Interesting that he's a converted No10 and MF. Explains why he's so comfortable bringing the ball out.

Only really viable to sign them if they want to take sizeable pay cuts mate. Johansen on 40 bags a week, Charlie over 50 apparently. Given our highest earner that is actually our player I think is Cameron on 12,500 quid a week, it's a stretch to expect us to afford either of these 2. I think Charlie is out of contract at the end of the season so maybe we can work something out there. I'm guessing he's made a few quid at his last 2 clubs, so maybe he'll come for the love of the club. Johansen has a year left I think, would be another expensive loan like Hugill and Wells rather than actually signing him if we were able to retain him next season.

I don't know the figures but that's exactly my point about recruitment. Loans are not a recruitment policy they just plug the leak if you can't afford to keep them - if available. For another thread sometime.

Dickie has been a very good signing up to now and with improvement will become a very accomplished player over the next few years.

Loans are not a recruitment policy they just plug the leak if you can't afford to keep them - if available. Ironically that's the very point Dickie made in his Sky interview, but from a player's perspective. Said he never really liked going on loan as never felt part of the club and much preferred being at clubs he knows he's a part of and wanted. Psychologically more preferable for a player.

Genuinely wouldn't be happy at all if we let him go right now for less than £15m

i'm worried about brighton or newcastle coming in for him.
brighton have just sold ben white for 50m so have money to spend plus they play with a back 3. dickie seems like the perfect option for them tbh.
hope not though as i quite like brighton and dickie would be an awful signing for them who'd likely get them relegated.

Jimmy Dunne has only played 3 games for Burnley in 4 seasons mate. He's been on loan at sides lower down the leagues than us. I'd think for him a chance at a side with a good shout of promotion from the Championship, even if he is 4th choice centre back is still a good move for him. As for Dickie, we don't need to sell him. He's on a long deal and we don't need to sell anyone for financial reasons this window. As such, as long as Dickie doesn't try to force a move, we will probably only sell if silly money is offered. The same goes for Dieng. We should be happy with that, it's what most fans have been calling for since we fell out of the Prem.
