Another player I've noticed improvements under Beale after two games. Early days but hope it continues.

I like Rob Dickie, but he's just so bloody slow. Doubt he'll make it as a centre half any further up the divisions because of this.
Maybe an argument to play him in defensive midfield when everyone is fit?

Big problem with Dickie is he isn’t as good as he thinks he is. He got caught out again Saturday pissing about trying to be too clever on the sideline - might even have been just before one of their goals - when their player had quicker feet and Dickie lost it rather than stick it in the stand. When anyone nicks it off him at close quarters he doesn’t have the pace to recover. Decent defender, stick to defending.

I can’t agree with the DM thinking, he gets caught in possession far too often to play that role.

He’s a defender he’s not got the attributes play DM I get players changing positions as they learn game and grow etc but once’s you have broken in and become pro for me not fan of saying try new position. Get it during game in emergency but not permanent change |

I think we were taken in by the fact he’d scored a couple of good goals rather than his defensive play. Too often last season he strode forward when there was no cover and lost possession and he also went up the line a lot - god knows why - leaving Dunne exposed. Good defender, just defend. |

Some speculation that Leicester might be coming in for Dickie...I'm not gonna lie, I'd rather keep Dunne than Dickie. Not too fussed as long as we get a good fee. |

I think Dickie is over-rated. He's OK at this level but I don't think he'd make it higher. If we get a decent fee we should sell imo.

Dykes edged it for me. Dickie and Dunne also worth a mention. Who is this Dickie from the last 2 games? He’s like that player we had a while ago called Dickie. My view is he was suffering from a crisis of confidence, it was so obvious from his body language. I think you have to credit Ainsworth for helping to restore it because the change is almost unrecognisable. Whatever people's criticisms of Gareth you can't fault him on the man-management side. |
