We need to shift to players as financially we’re not looking great to say the least. Unfortunately we have limited talent to replace them it seems.

Agree with that. Plus, if we had sold when we looked like we would challenge for play offs then there would be uproar. I know he finished by playing all games but when fit he was behind Dunne, Balogun and JCS so if we sell for a couple of mil I think we have done welll. |

Bit cheap for me. Plus personally at that amount would want the dough up front.
Interesting to see how he develops elsewhere. Could be a good time to sell as we may well have already seen the best of him.

Still in our squad on paper he one of the more star players and we get fuck all for him, I was not very optimistic the other week for next season, if that’s the type of cash coming in and our lot saying we need to sell. Who or what on gods earth we going to be bringing in.

Giving his showing over the last year or so, £1m is almost a steal. Take the cash, move on. Need to get rid of as many of these wimps that folded for 6 months of this season as poss & rebuild (albeit I am fully prepared for Ainsworth to be replacing him with some 36 year old meathead stalwart lol).

I think last season showed up a lot of our players for being mentally fragile. He certainly depreciated considerably. Surprised we are even getting the reputed 700k up front to be honest. |

I never rated Beale, Critchley or Ainsworth so it wouldn't surprise me if the values of most of our players went down last season. In Dickie's case, he could only play in a three as Warbs eventually realised and in a two he was exposed badly. But it doesn't change the economics that we still need to sell anyone we can - its just due to our terrible coaching and management we will now have to do so for less money, which will mean nothing to re-invest in players. I don't think the model is broken, its the people pursuing the model who are shit, from the DOF down. |

annoyed at him leaving simply because its yet another bit of bad business from the club. a year or 2 ago we could have cashed in and got a decent fee, same goes for most of our core players tbh.
i'm not fussed at him leaving for abilities sake though and suspect he'll do well at bristol. he was dreadful for us most of last season so its no loss on that front, i suspect forino will be coming in from wycombe as his replacement.

It’s not just this season Dickie form has been poor, Warburton recognised that him and Dunne were a poor partnership by bringing in Sanderson on loan.

In my earlier post I apologised for sounding so sceptical but sadly it seems that was justified given how poorly we're run these days. |
