Arsenal got slapped at that shameful 0.6 around 1999/2000 Not saying it was Arsenals main lot but they thought they had the freedom of Shepherds Bush , they came unstuck

A lot of lads these days dismiss him,but he was game as I've seen, think he probably on a ban anyway. . Did time with him in 1980 he was stand up in Nick , stood toe to toe with him at Luton I know he's not everyone's flavor but I've never seen him run

Notting hill/ grove attacked bush/white city in the stands at the final whistle of the milk cup final at wembley and it kicked right off. There used to be trouble at the palais etc in the 80's between both areas that spilt over. Seen it first hand as a kid but never a problem in my day. Was mostly bush/grove mid 80's with a few from northolt/harrow and other lads from ealing/acton and others dotted round. A lot of folk moved out of the estates in west london to areas along the m40 and they joined a large rangers fanbase already there going back to the 60's-all those areas have had a bigger influence over the years. A few years back i believe bush and northolt were at it for a while. One thing i will say is that colour was never a problem with any rangers mob i have known-areas yes but colour or nationality never ever!!! Almost every young lad i knew was at it-mostly rangers, a few spurs, chelsea, arsenal etc with a ockney red thrown in.

I`ll l never forget it , my old man RIP had tickets for the upper tier , i had tickets for the lower ,so did all the little crew i used to go with , i swapped tickets with me old man( hes mates were in the lower ) because i knew the streatham /brixton lads were going to be in the upper . The upper was so packed the stewards /ob took us out onto the running track and put us in the lower tier ,it was carnage in our end ! As ive said ,us South London lads never felt invited to the party , but we had us all together ,only about 20 of us Brixton to Sutton ,thinking, what the fuck?? ! We was all 16 to 20 prime lads ,couldnt beleive Notting Hill was bashing everyone up !Or so it seemed at the time !

They spoke in the same accent ,dressed like us ,went to football ,danced ( better ) at dos , we was all the same . Chelsea and Charlton had racial problems ,QPR never did nor did Spurs ,Arsenal ,Palace etc even Millwall /West Ham never had the problems you would think We all hated the NF , it wasn`t welcome even in the sprawling council estates of St Helier ,South London . ( and trust me there was an NF presence ) But we danced to Soul,Reggae ,Hip hop ,Funk and later House/ Acid , No one had to prove themself ,if you were a mate ,you were a mate regardless of colour . That sort of thing has been built up to be a fantasy . Terminology was very un pc , and it wasnt Noddy land with the NF, but we were all together and still are now , our generation at least . I think the kids are much more segregated now than we ever were .I can see all this playing out with my mixed race teenage kids .

When we were skinheads in the late 70's we'd get a hard time from Lionel he was convinced we were all NF...he was older than us and I never saw him lose a straightner

Remember Pompey in the cup we had a coach go from the Vic in a nite game we had beaten them 5 nil I think at home ( 2 legs) and drew 2 -2 away. We nicked a dustbin and put it at the back of the coach to piss in , getting it off we spilt it all over the coach ...we brought it to them that nite after they stoned the pub we were in . I caught a half brick on my nose still have a little scar

Well over 30 years ago when returning home from an away game which i cant recall older bush put it on about 20 of us younger notting hill lot on a platform because nothing had happened with the other team. Only for a handful of older notting hill to bowl down the stairs and have a few choice words.

Personally I always thought teams like boro Forrest Swindon soton were more mad than man Utd. Yes always off with Utd but not on scale of others.

Forest had one of the biggest mobs I ever saw in the loft end one season. The OB decanted them back into the school end but they were marched past us in the paddocks.

A lot of people didnt rate arsenal-we even had a pop at them in the northbank in the early 80's but imo between 83 till 87 or so they were very good with huge numbers. We had history with them over a row with notting hill which resulted in the latimer rd affray. I went arsenal millwall in the fa cup in 89 or 90 and it was the biggest mob ive seen-700/800 proper gooners although they got hammered everywhere in the replay. Never seen a scruffy gooner bitd-all wore quality clobber-bit posy tho. Easy to go with them in those days if it was your thing-you would never get sussed-spurs always knew who was who-more tight nit. A lot of rangers went chelsea if we had a shit game-always see people you knew
